BOY band Lawson have cancelled a gig in Burnley for the second time.
The group, known for hits such as Standing in the Dark and Juliet, were due to perform at the UCLan campus, in Princess Way, on May 4. But that concert was cancelled because lead vocalist Andy Brown fell ill.
The event was rescheduled for June 7, but has had to be cancelled for a second time, with the band apologising to ticket holders.
A spokesman said: “We’re pleased to let you know Andy is back at home after his recent illness, however doctors are advising that further rest is going to be vital for him to make a full recovery. Sadly this means we are now unable to make the rescheduled date for the UCLAN concert in Burnley.
“We’re really sorry but hope you understand – and hope it won’t be too long before Andy is fighting fit.”
Tickets remain valid.
