AN updated version of Clitheroe’s Town Trail has been launched.

The town’s civic society has published the fourth version, which features historic facts about the Ribble Valley market town.

The trail, first published in 1976, is largely confined to the history of the town from 1100 to 1800, and takes around an hour to complete.

The guide also has a map, past and present pictures of the town, and includes a section dedicated to the future of Clitheroe.

Copies are available free at Clitheroe Visitor Information Centre, and Clitheroe Library.
