AN internal probe has found the deaths of seven children at the Royal Blackburn and Burnley General hospitals during April were ‘unavoidable’.

The unusually high number of paediatric deaths was reported to board members at East Lanacashire Hospitals NHS Trust, in line with its new escalation policy.

Chief nurse Christine Pearson told the board: “There has sadly been seven paediatric deaths in April 2014 and in line with our escalation process previously agreed...we are flagging this at divisional and executive level for monitoring and information. The initial review has found that the deaths were unavoidable and all appropriate policies have been followed and appropriate referrals to external agencies have been made. This has been a particularly stressful time for the members of staff involved in caring for the children and their families.”

It must be the most stressful thing anybody could face. It is times like this you realise just how caring the NHS is. The nurses and Doctors have children as well. This is why I am so passionate in defence of the NHS and against the politics that is destroying it.

NOT THERE ORNE THIS GOVERNMENT is to blame as well
for all the trouble with the N.H.S. because they are trying to private ties
our N.H.S. and sell the N.H.S. to their mate to make a killing off.
And this has alway been the plan they are not bothered about the damage they have done.?
As long as the company's pay THE GOVERNMENT for the running of our hospital this party in charge will keep out of there way when they start to strip all the hospital assets like gold diggers .
they probably will use the money the get of there mate to found their election campaign in 2015 and when they are kicked out .?
the pot will BE empty for the next government that gets to power
this is there goal now plunder reap havake and take all they can before
they go in 2015 .
SO lets start to get them out in MAY and the lib dem as well why they
