THREE chartered accountants are figuring that their sense of adventure will see them complete a triple challenge for Pendleside Hospice.

Richard Robinson, Ben Thurston and Scott Reid have devised a series of tests, over consecutive weekends in June, for the Reedley organisation.

The trio, who all work for MacMahon Leggate in Burnley, will first tackle the ‘North Yorkshire Three Peaks’, Pen-y-Ghent, Whern-side and Ingleborough on Saturday, June 14.

And then they will line up for the Pennine Lancashire 10km race in Burnley in Sunday, June 22, around Towneley Park and surrounding areas.

Six days later, over the course of 24 hours, their final crusade will take them to tackle the ‘National Three Peaks’ – Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Mount Snowdon. Their aim is to arrive back at the foot of Snowdon by 5pm on Sunday, June 29.

Richard said: “We wanted to raise money for a local charity and one which has supported members of our own families as well as many in our local community.

“We all seem to have a connection with the hospice, so it seemed like the perfect choice. We have set ourselves a fundraising target of £2,500 which we hope to not only surpass, but smash.

“We’ll be really challenging ourselves and raising some money for a great cause too.”
