A MUM who died after a fall on her birthday has left the gift of her life as her legacy.
Mum-of-two Jill Dowe, 41 , of Blackburn, died on Tuesday after suffering serious head injuries when she fell down the stairs at Darwen's Roxy nightclub on Saturday.
And her grieving family has ensured that her final wish to donate her organs to others was carried out. Three people, including a 17-year-old boy in Newcastle, have benefited.
Jill's devastated sister, Carol Har-wood, of Kirby Road, Blackburn, said: "She lives on in that 17-year-old boy now.
"She would love being 17 again because she never really grew up. She lit up the lives of everyone she knew with her warm smile and friendly personality.
"She had so many friends because she was the type of person who if she only had a penny would borrow £10 to help somebody out."
Jill, an avid Blackburn Rovers fan, travelled to watch the team with the Ewood Blues, will be buried in her treasured Rovers shirt.
And the family are expecting hundreds to attend the funeral, with many donning their Rovers shirts.
Jill was also a keep-fit fanatic and enjoyed karaoke singing.
Carol added: "We were like twins. She would ring me and say 'you're not so well are you? She would know because she'd get the twinges like twins do."
The fall is being treated by police as an accident.
Carol added: "She was having a good time the night of the accident because she'd text her friend to say she was having a 'buzzing night'.
"Her daughter has been texting me saying she misses her mum, which is heartbreaking."
The funeral is on Thursday at St Peter's Church, Mill Hill, followed by burial at Pleasington Cemetery. Family request that donations go to the Parkinson Society and for flowers to be sent to The Alty Funeral Service, Witton.
Jill leaves daughters Emily, six and Hanna, 11, ex-husband Paul Ruddock, who remained a friend, sister Carol, two brothers Paul and Alan Aspinall, mum and dad.
