A POLICE officer called to Morrisons in Blackburn had to deal with a drug user who had locked herself in the disabled lavatory.
Blackburn magistrates heard Jasmine Leigh Astin, who had only been released from prison the day before, shouted a torrent of abuse at the officer through the locked door.
She was given the chance to leave quietly but in the lobby became aggressive and and had to be arrested.
Astin, 21, of Chaddock Street, Preston, pleaded guilty to using threatening behaviour. She was given a conditional discharge for six months and ordered to pay £15 victim surcharge.
David Hartley, prosecuting, said when the toilet door was eventually unlocked it was clear to the officer that Astin was heavily under the influence of drugs.
Jonathan Taylor, defending, said Astin had come back to Blackburn on her release from prison and had gone straight back to old habits. “She realises she let herself down,” said Mr Taylor.
