A SPECIALIST land-based college is ‘outstanding’, according to its latest Ofsted report.
Inspectors found that Myerscough College, which has a campus at Witton Park, in Blackburn, made ‘an exceptional impact’ on the quality of students' lives and ‘promoted opportunities for all to succeed in life’.
Inspector Karen Forster said in a report: “Of particular note are the inclusive measures for students with additional needs, which unequivocally demonstrate how the college embeds their approach towards equality and diversity.” She added that to improve further, the college must amend its anti-bullying policy, continue to improve the halls of residence and arrange an opportunity for the lead governor for safeguarding to complete local safeguarding children's board's inter-agency training.
