BISHOP of Blackburn Julian Henderson has called on parishes and schools across Lancashire to sign up and raise money for Christian Aid Week, which is imminent.

Christian Aid Week is the longest running door-to-door fundraising week in the UK and raises about £12 million a year.

Bishop Julian said: “The annual collection on behalf of Christian Aid is a chance to remind ourselves of the importance of any donation, however small.

“And what that can do when added together with everyone else’s totals from around the country.

“Twelve million pounds is an amazing sum by anyone’s standards and I ask people to dig deep and go even further this year, so the work of Christian Aid can benefit as many people as possible in great need, both in this country and abroad.”

Anyone can donate at www.caweek.org.

What would be nice. In Christian aid week would be for the church to put some of the profits from the cathedral projects to build a homeless centre , but for some reason I cant see that happen , so Julian I've gave you a idea so see what you can sort out :)
