STUDENTS at a Pendle school have raised over £400 for Cancer Research UK.
At the start of each half term youngsters at Colne Primet Academy participate in ‘challenge weeks’.
This challenge week involved students raising both money and house points for a charity of their choice.
A representative from each form had to nominate a charity, and then present an argument for that charity before a ‘Dragon’s Den’ style panel.
Each house had only one day to raise money.
The activities included sponsored silences, raffles, a cake auction, kick up challenges, cake and biscuit sales, and a shoe shine service.
By the end of the week, the students had raised £446.46.
