A ROSSENDALE transport boss has been suspended amid allegations of staff grievances.
Brian Juffs, the managing director of Rossendale Borough Council’s bus company Rosso, was suspended on Thursday.
The suspension was announced in an email on behalf of Helen Lockwood, Rossendale Council’s chief executive, which has been seen by the Lancashire Telegraph.
Notification of the suspension has also been posted on a noticeboard in the company’s head office, it is understood.
The email said: “Rossendale Transport’s Managing Director was suspended yesterday and an investigation following staff grievances continues.
“Please note, the act of suspension is a neutral act and does not presume guilt on the part of the employee and is an effective mechanism for protecting the interests of the individual and company.
“Interim arrangements for the management of the company will be confirmed shortly.”
A Rossendale Council spokesman confirmed the email was factual but would not comment further.
