A 31-YEAR-old woman who crashed into another car after going through a red light was later found to be nearly double the legal drink drive limit.
And Blackburn magistrates were told the biggest sufferer as a result of Sarah Hall’s actions would be her five-year-old daughter who suffers from spina bifida.
Hall, of Lansdowne Street, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol. She was banned from driving for 18 months and fined £150 with £105 costs.
Angela Rossi, defending, said her client realised the incident could have been far more serious and was thankful nobody had been injured. The car she was driving was a motability vehicle which was for her five-year-old daughter who has spina bifida, ” she said.
