STAFF at Burnley’s sorting office in Bank Parade are planning to walk out over Easter, after a long-running dispute has remained unresolved.

Workers plan to walk out in support two long-serving colleagues, including Burnley Borough Council leader Stuart Caddy, who they believe were unfairly dismissed by Royal Mail.

Employees are planning to withdraw their labour this Thursday, Saturday and the following Tuesday.

Around 100 members of the Communication Workers Union held a one-day strike at the end of last month. The CWU’s North West Regional Secretary, Carl Webb said: “There’s been no resolution to the dispute.”

A spokeswoman for Royal Mail said talks were ongoing.
