LANCASHIRE County Council are offering families special passes to explore the county’s museums.

The ‘Xplorer’ ticket offers a year’s unlimited entry for two adults, two concessions and accompanied children, to 10 local museums for just £20.

County Coun Marcus Johnstone, cabinet member for environment, planning and cultural services, said: “With a whole host of family-friendly activities throughout the school holidays and at many weekends, there really is something for everyone to enjoy.”

The tickets include Clitheroe Castle and Gawthorpe Hall among others, and are available at all Lancashire County Council’s museums.
