Summer 2009 - Alleged groping of a bisexual man on his sofa at Mr Evans's home in Pendleton.

Summer 2010 - Alleged sexual assault of a young man in Strangers’ Bar.

December 2010 - Mr Evans admits he is gay.

2011 - Alleged sexual assault of young gay man near the Strangers’ Bar.

Spring 2013 - Two alleged sexual assaults and alleged rape of a young man at Mr Evans’s Pendleton home.

May 4, 2013 – MP arrested at his Pendleton home on charges of rape and sexual assault.

May 13, 2013 - Mr Evans stands aside from chairing House of Commons debates.

June 19, 2013 – MP arrested on three more charges of sexual assault.

September 9, 2013 - Mr Evans arrested on three further charges and charged with rape and seven further offences.

September 10, 2013 - Mr Evans stands down as Commons Deputy Speaker and gives up Conservative whip in Parliament.

September 18, 2013 - Mr Evans make his first appearance in court at Preston Magistrates and is committed to appear at Crown Court.

October 4, 2013 – MP appears at Preston Crown Court for preliminary hearing.

March 10, 2014 - Mr Evans's trial starts.

April 7, 2014 - Judge Timothy King starts summing up the case to the jury.

April 9, 2014 - Jury sent out to consider their verdicts.

April 10, 2014 – The MP is cleared of all counts.
