STUDENTS have been given an insight into the world of work – by those who know more than most about employment.
Staff from the Department of Work and Pensions, at Burnley Benefit Centre, have been working closely with 12 students from Year 9 at Shuttleworth College.
Part of their Engaging Our Young People programme, Jobcentre Plus staff have been working on a range of careers, skills building, and role model activities, to boost the students’ future employment prospects.
And, to round off the six-week course at Brun House, the dozen candidates were taken for a behind-the-scenes tour of Turf Moor.
