BARNOLDSWICK Town Football Club has received a £500 grant to help pay for costs to enter competitions and buy a new cooker for their tea room.
The money has come from County Coun Paul White’s local member fund, and will enable the club to enter the FA Cup and the FA Vase.
He said: “I was happy to approve this grant, which will help the club to move forwards. We all know they have been struggling financially.
“It’s great that they are able to enter the FA Cup and FA Vase. Hopefully it will help them to promote the club beyond Pendle, and help to put Pendle on the map too.
“It’s great that local sports clubs can take part in things like this.”
The new cooker in the tea room will also provide refreshments to supporters and players, a useful source of income for the club.
