THE Friends of Roe Lee Park held their Easter family fun day on Saturday, March 29.

Attractions included fairgrounds rides, stalls, a candy floss stall, burger van, mini go-karts, Skippy’s roadshow, ice cream, a bouncy castle and coffee van.

Families enjoyed the spring sunshine in the park and took advantage of the attractions and play area.

Animal mascot Disco Dog was also on hand for some canine capers.

Organiser Jason Walker, said: “It was great to see so many people come and support us.

“There were about 600 to 700 visitors and that just goes to show important the park is to the community and how the neighbourhood take pride in having it on its doorstep.

“We staged a successful clean up event last week to get the area in shape for the spring and summer months.

“Let’s hope we have some decent weather so people can enjoy being outside more and more.”
