PARENTS of children at a Clitheroe school have been urged to teach them about internet safety.
In a letter home to parents, Brookside Primary School, in Bright Street, provided a link to an application called Jigsaw which they believe families might find useful.
A school spokesman said: “It is a story about a young girl called Becky who likes to use social networking sites.
“She has her own profile where she shares information, like the things she enjoys and photos of herself and her friends.
“Becky has been talking to somebody who she believes to be another child. However it turns out to be a man who has lied to her.
“Please before sharing this resource with your child look at it first so you can decide whether or not you feel it is appropriate and of use.”
The 10-minute film teaches youngsters to be wary and safer online and features useful advice, the school said.
