FUNDRAISER and Olympic torch bearer Caitlin Jones is taking part in the ‘tenner challenge’ along with her classmates.
The challenge encourages students to organise, promote and execute their own fundraising events for a charity of their choice – but they must spend no more than ten pounds.
The Darwen Academy pupils are raising money for Pink Passion Power breast cancer campaign.
They will collect money in Asda, Blackburn, tomorrow from 10am to 3pm by selling handmade cards and nail art, and Caitlin will be posing for photographs with shoppers and the olympic torch.
Caitlin, who suffers from learning and physical difficulties, was nominated to carry the Olympic torch in 2012 after she raised more than £10,000 for cancer charities.
