RULE BREAKING, jealousy and squabbling are among the pitfalls of parents undertaking the school run in Lancashire, according to a new survey.

Research by Auto Trader reveals 29 per cent admit to parking illegally, 16 per cent have arguments with other parents and more than half of parents argue with their kids at least once a week during the school run.

The report highlights that nearly two-thirds of parents feel stressed on the school run, many naming it the most stressful part of their week.

Competition is rife amongst parents, as half of those surveyed are envious of other parents’ cars and nearly a quarter admit they are embarrassed about the car they own, claiming it is ugly or too old.
