MORE than a fifth of people who were questioned in the North West wish they had worked harder at school, new research shows.

The Legal and General survey also found 19 per cent would tell their younger self not to smoke, and 16 per cent would take better care of their finances.

Head of direct marketing, Paula Llewellyn, said: “We hope to help people realise that making the right decisions today, could help make life better. Nobody can predict what is going to happen,”

And she went on “But taking small steps to safeguard yours and your family’s future is a simple responsibility we can all share.”
