A ST Patrick’s Day event has been organised for a cancer-stricken boy.
The event, at Hoddlesden Conservative Club on Saturday, will raise money for the Sam Shaw Appeal.
Sam, five, of Glencoe Avenue, has been in America where he received immunotherapy treatment for childhood cancer neuroblastoma.
The treatment, which could improve his survival chances by 20 per cent but is unavailable on the NHS, was made possible after the appeal raised £250,000.
Despite the cash for the treatment already being raised, more money may be required if any follow-up treatments are required.
The event, which starts at 7.30pm, will see band Call Out will perform hits by Paul Weller, The Jam, The Beatles, The Who and Oasis. Tickets are available from the club and cost just £5.
