DOZENS of wanted people from East Lancashire are on the run, new figures reveal.

More than 60 convicts and suspects are wanted for a range of serious offences but have so far evaded capture.

Their alleged crimes include robbery, drug dealing, sex offences, violent assaults, and motoring offences, data released under the Freedom of Information Act show.

Now, police have released mugshots of six of their most wanted men.

Josh Garvie, 20, is wanted for prison recall after being jailed for three years for robbery.

His last known address is St Peters Street, Blackburn.

And 23-year-old Karl Lynch, whose last known address was Brotherston Drive, Blackburn, is accused of slapping his ex-partner and grabbing another woman around the neck.

He is wanted for common assault, breach of a court order, serious assault, and breaching a court order.

Nathan Posteraro is accused of punching a Darwen doorman.

The 23-year-old was also earlier seen by police driving whilst disqualified. His last known address was in Dove Lane, Darwen.

It is believed 55-year-old convicted burglar Donald Braeburn, of no fixed abode, is in the Blackburn area. He is wanted for recall to prison.

And Christian Patrick Lewis, who was jailed for his part in a gang beating in 2011, is also wanted for recall to prison. Lewis, whose last known address was in St Peters Street, Blackburn, was jailed for 43 months.

The 23-year-old, along with several other offenders, punched and kicked a man in Blackpool.

James Gorman, 31,whose last known address was Hazel Avenue, Darwen, absconded after being released on temporary licence from prison on February 25.
