A FERRARI worth £230,000 was written off when the driver lost control of the vehicle on the Haslingden Bypass.

The driver of the Ferrari FF escaped unharmed after careering up the embankment on the southbound carriageway of the A56 between Haslingden and Edenfield.

The car travelled around 20 yards up the grass verge before hitting a tree and knocking it down.

The supercar, which has a V12 engine, 651 break horse power, and a top speed of 203mph, was the only vehicle involved in Sunday morning’s crash.

A spokeswoman for Lancashire Police said: “There will be no further involvement from the police.”
