THE charity launched by cancer sufferer Jay Lynchehaun has urged people to donate blood samples to aid research into the disease.
Two years ago, the 27-year-old from Read was given the devastating news that he had a terminal brain tumour, but has since raised £20,000 for the Brain Tumour Research Department at UCLan.
And his ‘In Between Ears’ charity now wants people to support the next stage of research by donating some blood to be used in the control group.
Doctors will be taking samples on ward 2b at the Royal Preston Hospital on Sunday, between 11am and 3pm.
The charity has been heavily involved with brain tumour research at Preston and recently painted new labs, which will officially open in April.
