THE East Lancashire area looks set to escape more bad weather early this week.
Weather warnings have been issued in Cumbria by the Met Office, with winds blowing at up to 70mph to accompany bands of heavy rain.
East Lancashire will also be doused by rain throughout the week, but should escape the heavy winds that wreaked havoc a few weeks ago.
Gusts of wind are expected to reach around 40mph tomorrow morning, but will die off by Wednesday lunchtime, said a spokesman for the Met Office.
