A WOMAN in her 60s was taken to hospital with minor injuries following a crash in Red Lane, Colne, this afternoon.
An air ambulance was scrambled when a black Nissan Micra the woman was driving rolled onto its side, after colliding with a red Vauxhall Agila Club at around 11.45am.
Firefighters from Colne released the woman from the car, before she was taken to Airedale General Hospital by ambulance, suffering from minor injuries.
A fire service spokesman said: “The car was on its side when we arrived. We released the woman from the car, which was still on its side when we left.
The helicopter was not needed.
The road remained closed as of 1pm as recovery staff worked to remove the vehicles from the scene of the accident, which left Red Lane blocked.
