PLANS have been submitted for an extension to a Burnley nursery.

If passed, the scheme will see more space created in the Pippin room at Rosegrove Nursery, in Havelock Street.

Nursery bosses say the extension is needed to make sure there is enough space for two-year-olds.

It will also provide extra toilet facilities for use by staff and children.

In a statement submitted to Lancashire County Council, the developers said: “The nursery has been selected by the local education authority as a centre that requires additional child spaces for two-year-olds.

“As such the existing building is at capacity and therefore needs additional space to provide this need.”
