A BLAZE that started in the bathroom of a flat in Colne is thought to have been started deliberately.

Firefighters were called to Alkincoats Drive at 2.50am today (MON) by police, who had already managed to enter the ground floor property.

Three fire crews spent around 45 minutes making sure the flat was safe.

Nobody was injured but an investigation has been launched.

Watch manager Caroline Harrison said: “It was a fire of suspicious origin. At the moment, we are not quite sure what was going on.”
