THE Alzheimer’s Society will host a ‘Dementia Friends’ workshop on Friday.
And the local MP has teamed up with organisation for the event.
Andrew Stephenson said: “After attending a workshop in the House of Commons recently and becoming a ‘Dementia Friend’, I was very keen to arrange for one of these informative sessions to take place in Pendle.
“The session is open to anyone, but I am particularly keen that local organisations and businesses, who may come into contact with those affected by dementia, send representatives along.
“I am delighted to have already had acceptances from employees of Pendle Leisure Trust, Pendle Council, Transdev, Burnley General Hospital and Marsden Heights College.”
The event will be held at the ACE Centre in Nelson at 10am.
