RESIDENTS in Haslingden have been left without water this morning after a mains pipe burst.

Manchester Road has been closed in both directions while emergency repairs are carried out.

The work is being carried out by United Utilities between the B6214 Deardengate and Townsend Street.

The road has been closed near the Black Bull Hotel.

That stretch of road is actually called Blackburn Road. Manchester Road starts the other side of the Deardengate junction lights.

typical Rossendalel telegraph report....wrong address wrong time, the road was closed before lunch yesterday having completely collapsed.leaving a hole large enough to take a couple of cars. Begs the question do LET know where Haslingden is ?
