THE Ribble Valley Labour Party has said that it expects to start selecting a candidate for the 2015 General Election in the spring.
A spokesman for the party said members hope to have a candidate in place by the middle of the year.
The Lib Dems announced earlier this month that Jackie Pearcey would contest the borough for the party in next year’s poll. The Conservative Party has said that any decision regarding its candidate will not be made until after Nigel Evan’s trial, which begins in March.
