ROSSENDALE’S main bus provider has announced a new Ramsbottom route.
Rosso, formerly known as Rossendalebus, will launch the new service between Ramsbottom and Bury via Holcombe Brook and Brandlesholme on January 26. It will run every 20 minutes on Monday to Saturday daytimes.
A spokesman for the firm said: “This new service will complement our existing routes 477 and 478 through Brandlesholme, offering a more direct route into Bury.
“Buses will show ‘472’ heading towards Bury and ‘474’ heading towards Ramsbottom.”
Rosso added that morning journeys on its 743 service between Burnley and Waterfoot will run up to 10 minutes earlier — departing as early as 7.35am — to improve reliability.
And the Monday to Friday 7.41am journey on its 244 service from Weir to Blackburn via Bacup and Rawtenstall will now depart at 7.30am to allow for additional journey time and improve reliability.
