RUSH hour traffic was delayed after two vehicles were involved in a head-on collision.

It happened at the junction of Dunkenhalgh Way and Manor Place, close to the old fire station on Hyndburn Road, Church.

Police said a blue Citroen C3 collided with a grey Seat Leon at around 5pm on Wednesday.

Henry Street was partially blocked and traffic queued for an hour, before both vehicles were removed just after 6pm.

Nobody was seriously injured in the crash, but at least one person suffered whiplash and was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital.

Love the photo of the police incident tape.
Oh how it adds to the story and gets ones' imagination running !
What a class report in a first rate newspaper. Other less insightful papers would have unimaginatively inserted an actual photo of the scene/incident.
Only the best for the LT. We expect nothing more (and boy do we get it)
Priceless !!
