A NEW director of nursing, quality and government at Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust has been appointed.

Dee Roach has responsibility for professional leadership, clinical governance, patient safety and public involvement.

She previously worked at Lancashire Care as deputy director of nursing, where she also led on a major service redesign as clinical director.

Heather Tierney-Moore, chief executive at Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust, said: “We are delighted to welcome Dee back and look forward to her contributing to the work the Trust is doing.

“Dee brings with her a wealth of experience in leading and developing nursing services and brings a range of skills to the board which will help us to continue to strive for improvement and excellence.”

Dee said: “It feels great to be back at Lancashire Care and I’m really looking forward to the challenges ahead.

“I’m hoping to meet staff from our services first of all so we can work closely together to really build on the great work the Trust is doing to improve patient care.”

Dee is a nurse by background and has returned to Lancashire Care from Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust where she was the executive director of quality, improvement and patient experience.
