HASLINGDEN High School is celebrating achieving its best-ever A-Level results, ranking in the country’s top 10 grades bracket.
Simon Heaton, director of sixth form studies, congratulated the class of 2013 at the school’s awards evening, and praised the year group.
The school had its best-ever percentage of A-A* grades, A*-B grades, and average grade per exam entered.
Mr Heaton said: “Overall, the year group’s results put them in the top 10per cent nationally in terms of progress from GCSE performance. “However, the most important thing about these fantastic results is that they have allowed the individual members of the year to go on and achieve the things that they wanted.
“For most, this meant gaining a place at their chosen university or, for some, taking the first step forward into their careers.”
