A RAMSBOTTOM councillor is encouraging residents to fill in an online survey on how people think Bury Council’s 2014/15 budget should be spent.
Conservative councillor Ian Bevan said: “£9.8million must be found in savings for the council to balance its books.
“Unfortunately, overspending continues in the council, according to the latest figures published.
“I personally believe that there are still a great deal of efficiency savings to be found in back office administration, particularly by the council sharing some services with other public bodies and neighbouring local councils.
“I now need your views, so that I can go to Bury Town Hall at the time of budget setting next month and relay what the residents of Ramsbottom want, and expect, from Bury Council. “Please complete my poll, which can be found at http://cllrianbevan.polldaddy.com/s/bury-council-budget-2014.”
