Veterans in Communities relocate its centre
1:42pm Thursday 9th January 2014 in News
VETERANS in Communities, a military charity based in the Valley, has now moved to its new home in Haslingden.
The support and activity organisation has relocated from Bacup to its new centre, in Bury Road.
Bob Elliott, operational manager at the charity, said: “Our members have been working extremely hard over the last seven weeks to get the building ready. “Our furniture has been moved in, and the phones have been transferred to our new number, and we should have IT again today. “Our members are now in the process of finding space for all the furniture, and finishing off decorating the offices and training/ conference rooms upstairs. “We will rent these out to the community. “We will have an official open day in the near future.”
The centre will be open from 9am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday. Opening times for weekday evenings, and weekends, will be announced in coming weeks.
The charity’s new phone number is 01706 833180.
The email address is still firstname.lastname@example.org
