A WALKER who fell and injured his leg was assisted by mountain rescuers.
Bolton Mountain Rescue Team was called to the incident at Entwistle Reservoir on Sunday at noon.
A woman who was out jogging had found the man and called an ambulance, who in turn asked the team for assistance.
A spokesman for the team said the 64-year-old from Heaton, Bolton, had been out with his wife and their dog when he had fallen.
Using their BM3 Land Rover, the team was able to drive round the reservoir track to pick up the injured man.
He was taken to Royal Bolton Hospital and treated for a lower leg fracture.
