People will be able to dispose of trees in an environmentally friendly way at the Riverside Civic Hall car park in Market Street, Whitworth; Stubbylee Park, Bacup; Whitaker Park, Rawtenstall; John Street car park, Haslingden, and the recycling centre in Bury Road, Edenfield, until January 12.

A council spokesperson said those bringing their trees to the designated drop-off points should first remove all lights and other decorations before leaving their tree.
