A FIRE crew was called to a detached house in Wilpshire after strong winds threatened to blow away a fascia board.
Firefighters with a specialist aerial ladder platform from Hyndburn fire station attended the incident in Ribchester Road at around 1.30pm on Saturday.
A spokesman for Hyndburn station said the loose board could have been ‘highly dangerous’ if it had become fully detached.
