FIVE babies came into the world on Christmas Day in Blackburn and Burnley birthing centres.
At 1.52 am Farzana Aslam gave birth to a baby girl at Burnley General Hospital.
As yet unnamed, she was 6lbs 10oz and is a sister to Haleema who was two on December 5.
Speaking from their home on Lower Hazel Close, Blackburn, proud dad Khuram Aslam said: “We are delighted, over the moon.”
Zaitoon Kauser and Shehzad Hussain’s son, also yet to be named, arrived at Burnley Birthing Centre at 11.30am, weighing 7lbs 2oz.
His brother Safyan will be three on Monday.
Blackburn birthing centre saw the arrival of Corra Alexandra Turner at 2.50am. The first child of Richard Turner and Alexandra Woods of Infirmary Road, Blackburn, she weighed 7lbs 4oz.
Also at Blackburn birthing centre, Oliver Newson arrived at 6.03am, weighing 6lbs 11oz.
Her parents, Jamie Newson and Kirsty Atheis from Accrington, already have a daughter Louisa.
