Ribble Valley boundary change opinion sought
3:10pm Friday 20th December 2013 in News
RESIDENTS of South Ribble, which includes Samlesbury, have until January 6 give their opinion on a new pattern of wards for the borough council to The Local Government Boundary Commission for England.
It has recommended that the council should have 50 councillors in the future, five fewer than present.
The proposals mean those councillors would represent 19 two-member and four three-member wards across the borough.
Commission chair said: “We are keen to hear local views about our boundary proposals before we finalise them in March 2014.
“We want to make sure ward boundaries across South Ribble reflect the identities and interests of local communities.”
