POLICE are appealing for information on two suspicious vans seen in Pendle villages on Monday.
A red Fiat Ducato van, registration beginning PD02, was seen in Newchurch at around 6.30pm, parked 100 metres from the Witches Galore shop with two men inside the van.
At 11.30pm a dark red van with registration beginning YF51 was seen being driven at high speed in Heights Road, Fence.
The appeal for information comes after an attempted theft of stone roof tiles from farm premises in Jinny Lane, Roughlee. Police want to trace the occupants of the vans to eliminate them from inquiries. Anybody with information, call police on 101.
