THIS year’s Poppy Appeal in Blackburn has raised more than £47,000.
Around 30 volunteers took part in the 2013 appeal which was launched at the end of October.
Last year’s appeal raised £44,000 with this year’s reaching £47,560 so far.
People can still donate to the appeal run by the Blackburn branch of the British Royal Legion.
