THE children’s services team at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust hosted an educational event for more than 50 GPs.
The session, at the Royal Blackburn Hospital, gave doctors the chance to speak with clinical colleagues working within acute paediatric care.
Dr Javed Iqbal, consultant paediatrician and clinical director of children’s services at the trust, said: “As a health economy, it is important that both secondary and primary care health professionals work closely to provide the effective care our local population deserves, and we look forward to providing more of these events to advance our working relationships, and showcase the high-quality services.”
The event focused on respiratory emergencies, and other conditions.
