AN EVOFIT of a man being hunted in connection with the rape of a woman in Colne has been released by police.

A computer-generated image of a distinctive tattoo on the man’s arm has also been released.

The 35-year-old woman was attacked by a man smoking a cigarette while on her way home from a night out at the rear of Exchange Street and Blascomy Way.

The incident happened between 9.40pm and 10.15pm on Saturday, August 17.

A 35-year-old man from Colne was arrested on suspicion of rape in August but was released with no further action.

DI Stephen Holgate said: “Although a number of months have passed since this offence took place we are still working hard to identify the person responsible.
