HOBBY groups showcased their activities during the Blackburn Festival of Pastimes at the weekend.
Several amateur clubs and societies gathered at Daisyfield Mills, Blackburn, on Saturday, including singing groups, knitters, hikers and football teams.
Sue Ball, of the Media and Arts Partnership, which is helping transform Daisyfield Mills, said the festival had revealed ‘something new about people of Blackburn’.
She added: “We think of pastimes as something that we do as a distraction from work, but you will be surprised at the infinite range of interests people have and what it means to them.”
