A MUSICAL nativity performance will be staged by Ribble Valley Choir on Saturday, December 14.
The production of ‘Holy Boy’ will take place at the Trinity Methodist Church in Clitheroe for the Joy to the World 2013 concert.
‘Holy Boy’ is a folk oratorio and has been put together by David Palmer.
It follows the story of David the shepherd boy and the traditional nativity story. There will be non-soloists and the concert is free to attend.
A collection will be taken for the Philippines appeal.
Musical director Steuart Kellington, said: “Holy Boy is my favourite Christmas nativity work.
“This will be the fourth time I have conducted it Boy and it still sounds as fresh as when I first heard it 30 years ago.
“Ribble Valley Choir will have 60 singers and will be accompanied by a small orchestra of 15 players.
“Holy Boy has some beautiful tunes and exciting rhythms and you keep on singing them in your mind long after you have heard them.
