PATIENTS who use Airedale Hospital’s orthotic service are invited to help develop a new range of footwear to ease a variety of foot problems.

The orthotics team is working in partnership with Peacocks Medical Group to host an open day so that anyone who uses their services can join a user forum and have a say on orthotic footwear of the future.

This is the first event of its kind and will be held on Wednesday, December 11, between 10.30am and 3pm, in the doctor’s lounge within Airedale Hospital’s education centre. It includes refreshments and lunch.

There will be sessions on understanding how the footwear is made, examples of current footwear available and a forum for suggestions about comfort, fit, style and colour.
